Royal Visit

On May 4th 2017 HRH Princess Anne (President of the Riding for the Disabled Association) visited Arrow to celebrate 35 years since the Centre opened.

Val and Ken Blake gave the Princess a tour of our wonderful facilities, (including the brand new stables and frontage!) and presented her to a number of our very generous sponsors.

The Princess was then treated to a magnificent ridden display! Daniel and Mariah performed part of the dressage test they will be competing in at the Regional Championships. Zoe and Truffles did some gymnastic exercises on the lunge, and then joined Emily on Mia, Alice on Hugo, and Bethany on Baline for a musical drill ride to "The Great Escape", complete with salutes and bows!!. It all looked incredibly smooth and professional.

HRH then met all the display riders, horses, staff, volunteers, selected un-mounted riders, and presented long service awards She was absolutely lovely and had time to chat with everyone. We were all very nervous, but there was no need to be, it was like talking to an old friend.

Thank you to everyone who helped us prepare for the event, and everyone that attended, we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. It was a very special afternoon and something we will never forget.
